How to measure the space to fit a table in?
Furniture Ferret: Measure the width and the depth of the floor area where you'd like to put a table. The most accurate way is to use a measuring tape. Hold the start down at the edge of the area, and let it run to the opposite edge. Hepplewhite also excelled in a style of work which was called " tambour," which consisted of small strips of wood pasted on heavy cloth. This rolled up in a hollow space, and he used it on desks, work-tables, and sideboards. See Figure 13.
